Technical Writing

As a technical writer for software and hardware products, Alison Hodges has written online help systems, reference guides, training presentations, troubleshooting guides, and release notes for a variety of end user audiences, and has prepared specifications and test plans to meet internal documentation needs. As the founder of Colibris Consulting, Alison can offer her expertise and efficiency to companies with pressing needs for high-quality documentation products. Most of Alison's employment has been at small start up companies where she was the sole writer, responsible from design to delivery for all phases of the documentation process. Alison also has experience working for larger companies, where adhering to style guides, templates, and the procedural and legal requirements of clients is essential to producing  successful technical publications.

Freelance Editing

As a freelance editor, Alison has assisted Marty Clarke in the preparation of all of his books, and most recently provided both developmental and copy editing and proof reading for Sales Machine Land Mines: 6 Sales Revenue Killers and the Blueprint to Avoid Them. All of Marty's books are available from Amazon.com. Alison recently had the pleasure of working with Mike Peters, OD, to edit his upcoming book See to Play: The Eyes of Elite Athletes. Look for it early in 2012.
